This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Health Tracker ("Application") for mobile devices. The Application is a health and lifestyle utility designed to help users track water consumption, calculate Body Mass Index (BMI), log weight progress, and view daily health tips.

1. Information Collection and Use
We are committed to protecting your privacy. The Application collects user data to provide and improve its services. This data is split between local storage on your device and secure cloud storage:
A. Cloud Storage (Firebase Firestore)
To enable account registration, profile recovery, and interactive questionnaire submissions, we store the following parameters securely on Firebase servers:
- Authentication Info: Your email address and login credentials (managed securely via Firebase Authentication).
- User Profile Parameters: Full Name, Age, Height, Current Weight, Target Weight, WhatsApp Number, and City.
- Questionnaire Responses: Answers submitted to assessments.
B. Local Storage (SharedPreferences)
All fitness logging data, specifically:
- Daily water intake logging progress.
- Weight logs and progress updates.
are saved locally on your device for fast access and to minimize internet consumption. This local data is not shared with third parties.
2. Third-Party Services
The Application utilizes third-party services that collect data to facilitate core functionalities. These services include:
- Google Play Services: Used for system-level API connections.
- Firebase Authentication: Used to authenticate users securely.
- Google Firebase Firestore: Used to save user profiles and questionnaires.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Used to log crash data and errors.
3. Data Retention Policy
We retain user data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the operational purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, or as required to comply with legal obligations. Our specific data retention practices are as follows:
A. Active Account User Data (Cloud Storage)
Personal profile parameters, authentication details, and questionnaire responses stored in Google Firebase Firestore and Firebase Authentication are retained for as long as your account remains active. If your account remains inactive or if you request account deletion, your cloud data will be handled according to our deletion timelines.
B. Data Retention Upon Account Deletion
Upon user-initiated account deletion (via the in-app Delete Account option or our web-based Account Deletion Page / Request Form):
- In-App Deletion: Cloud profile records in Firestore and Firebase Authentication credentials are deleted immediately and permanently.
- Web Form Requests: Account deletion requests submitted via our web portal are processed and permanently removed from our cloud databases within 7 to 30 days of request verification.
We explicitly state that we do not store, retain, or backup your personal data after account deletion has been completed.
C. Local Device Storage Retention
Water intake logs and weight progress data stored locally in device storage (SharedPreferences) remain on your device until you clear the application storage/cache through system settings, uninstall the Application, or trigger an account deletion in-app.
D. Diagnostic & Crash Logs
Anonymized error logs and performance statistics collected via Firebase Crashlytics are retained for up to 90 days strictly to analyze application stability and repair software bugs, after which they are automatically purged.
4. User Account and Data Deletion
In compliance with Google Play Store developer policies, users have full control over their data:
- In-App Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the application by navigating to the Profile Screen and tapping Delete Account.
- Web Deletion Portal: If you have uninstalled the Application or cannot access your account, you can request account deletion online by visiting our Account Deletion & Data Removal Page or submitting a web request via our Deletion Request Form.
- Confirming deletion will immediately and permanently delete your user profile document from Firestore, remove your authentication credentials from Firebase, and clear all local logging caches.
5. Data Security & Non-Sharing Policy
We take security seriously. All data transmitted between the Application and Firebase is encrypted in transit using industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) / Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols. Cloud databases are protected by strict Firebase Security Rules that limit data access solely to the authenticated owner of the profile.
No Commercial Sharing or Sale of Personal Data
We explicitly state that we do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information, contact numbers, or health logging data with third-party advertisers, data brokers, or marketing networks. All health logging parameters (hydration progress, weight history, BMI) are utilized strictly to provide personal fitness tracking services within the Application.
6. Health Data & Medical Privacy
The Application is designed strictly as a personal wellness and habit tracking utility. Health parameters collected are used solely to present progress metrics and personalized utility features to you within the Application. We do not use health data for cross-site tracking or advertising. For medical disclaimers, please consult our Terms of Use.
7. Children's Privacy
This Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete this from our servers immediately.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our legal obligations or application functionalities. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Updates are effective immediately upon posting to this page, as indicated by the "Last Updated" date at the top.
